Through endless crowded city blocks

And everything costs twice as much
Except pizza, that's only a buck
Then again it might make you upchuck
On the train when you've run out of luck

Why do we live in New York?
It’s true the rent is too damn high
Things you see just make you want to cry,
It’s a struggle now just to get by.

It’ll be under water soon
But hey whatcha gonna do?
We can see by the neon moon
And enjoy a week of nice weather in June.

Everyone’s walking too fast,
Pushing and shoving right past
This whole city just smells like ass,
It’s all just too much fun to last.

So why do we live in New York?
We must all be insane
I think you can damage your brains
By living too long in New York.
